Connect regularly with a Network Coordinator to ask questions, receive guidance, and feel supported in your role.
A local, community-based approach to supporting people experiencing distress. The program enables trusted people and places, like community centres, sports clubs, and local businesses — to offer a compassionate first response when someone is having a tough time.
If you’re someone who regularly comes into contact with people doing it tough — whether you run a neighbourhood centre, work at a local café, lead a sports club, or are part of a cultural, faith or volunteer group — we’re here to support you.
We work alongside trusted Community Engagement Points to help you feel confident in your role. This means noticing when someone may be struggling and offering a compassionate first response. We support you with coaching, resources, training, and opportunities to connect with others doing similar work across the region.
By growing the Network of Community Engagement Points (NetCEP), we build capacity in the local community to respond to people experiencing distress.
